My June 2015 Choices - Variety Shows, Songs, Videos, and more!

Already half a year has flown by, and my Year 10 school experience will be over in two weeks. It's quite saddening to think that I will only be having one more year until the end of secondary school, but I'll be going to sixth form, so I'm sticking with the school for another three years still! Anyway, as a soon-to-be tradition, it's time to tell you about my favourites of the month!

Best K-Drama Moments: June Week #3 - Producer (x2), Who Are You: School 2015, High Society, Mask + Warm and Cozy

Producer
My habit is loving you.

Joon Mo has been working tirelessly behind Ye Jin's back to get her streetlights turned on, cluing her into his real feelings. So basically, this poker-faced guy who edited out her confession really does love her, huh? She calls him up in the middle of the night to kill a mosquito. When he makes the 30-minute drive, she gets him to admit to getting the lights turned on. She asks why he would spend several days making complaints to get lights turned on for a street where he doesn't even live. And why he would make a 30-minute trip from one phone call from her. With no escape in sight, he confesses. He tells her that he's spend half his life following her from college to KBS, and he's realized that it wasn't just a habit but actually love. He explains that the reason he's taken a long time to get to this point was that he was worried that if they dated, she'd dump him. However, now, he's grateful that she didn't let him go.

Writing Boredom: Regret

A combination of cheese, tomatoes, and manicotti pasta fell down towards the ground and arrived with a huge crash as the platter smashed into sharpened pieces. Heath stared down at the mess he had created, refusing to look directly at Sera. He tried to contain himself as she uttered those words, but no amount of self-control or anger management classes could have stopped him from venting out his frustration on the ruined meal. Unable to stop, Heath walked towards the dining table and put his hands down as to suggest a menacing demeanour of anger and dissatisfaction.

Best K-Drama Moments: May Week #5 - Mask, Producer, Orange Marmalade, Who Are You: School 2015 + Warm and Cozy

Mask
He kills her.

Although Mask just entered the weekly lineup, one of its compelling scenes has shot up to our top spot. Our lead, Min Woo, is a tortured man with memory lapses, and one takes place when his fiancee is killed. Did he do it? He doesn't know and the security tape was curiously erased at that crucial moment, so he relies on hypnosis to regain his memory, and it's ugly. Do we really believe that the hero is a murderer? Not in a million years, but this scene of Min Woo strangling Eun Ha to death has me hooked.

Happy Birthday, Park Yoo Chun and Kim So Hyun!

I've actually made an effort to look up all my favourite celebrities birthdays so that when they approach, I can actually make a post on the right day. Anyway, I first discovered Park Yoo Chun when he was filming the popular The Girl Who Sees Smells, and I've also recently found and loved Kim So Hyun who plays Go Eun Byul and Lee Eun Bi in Who Are You: School 2015. I can't believe she is only 16, and four months older than me. She looks about 18, and so mature! Anyways, Happy Birthday you two, love you both!

News Articles #12: June 3, 2015 - "School" Series' Male Lead Chemistry; SHINee Sings Duet for "Who Are You" OST; "We Got Married" Announced New Couple with Yook Sung Jae + Shin Se Kyung Confirmed for New Drama

"School" Series' Have Different Chemistry Between Male Leads
The chemistry between Yook Sung Jae and Nam Joo Hyuk of KBS 2TV's Who Are You: School 2015 is quite different from the tight bromance between Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk in School 2013. A key part to School 2013 was the strong bond between Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. Though the two drift apart due to a painful past, they were able to resolve their misunderstandings and became tighter than ever. On the other hand, the tension between Nam Joo Hyuk and Yook Sung Jae on School 2015 is keeping viewers of their toes. The competition of the two very different characters is growing by each episode.

On May 15, the music video for the song My Valentine, by Jung Yeop of Brown Eyed Soul, was unveiled. The music video stars model-actor Lee Jong Suk in a one-man act. IN the video, Lee Jong Suk can be seen preparing himself for a special date with his "valentine," as he tries on a variety of outfits, and even writes up a letter addresses to his date on an old-fashioned typewriter. These scenes match perfectly with the sweet lyrics of the song, which Jung Yeop previously explained he wrote while imagining a date with a special someone.
