Is Oh Cho Rim really Choi Moo Gak's Deceased Sister, or is there Two Choi Eun Seol's? - The Lingering Question

As some fans that may have researched The Girl Who Sees Smells like I did, Oh Cho Rim's previous name was Choi Eun Seol, but that however, is also the name of Choi Moo Gak's deceased younger sister. So, I thought I might help those who are confused as to who Oh Cho Rim really is. But first, I'll give some background information.

Information on Choi Moo Gak's Background:
On the same night as one of the Bar Code murder cases, Moo Gak was visiting his sister in the hospital as she was being treated for mild injuries due to a bus accident. He, however, discovered his sister to be lying dead with her throat slit open. Moo Gak was so traumatized by losing his only family member left that he underwent two months of no sleep and constant pain, but afterwards he fainted and was clinically dead for 10 days. Surprising, he woke up to find that he'd lost his sense of smell and taste, but also the ability to feel pain. Now Moo Gak is stoic, emotionless and quite frankly, monotone, unlike his previous warm persona. He leaves his job at the aquarium to become a police officer, vowing to catch the killer who murdered his sister.

Information on Oh Cho Rim's Background:
Cho Rim's previous name was Choi Eun Seol - the same as Moo Gak's sister. Anyway, Eun Seol arrives home from school to find her parents murdered and the killer still left in the house. Seeing this, she escapes and runs away in fear. But however, she gets hit by a car in the process, leaving her in a coma. It's later revealed that Eun Seol's parents were victims of the Bar Code serial killer, and the detective of the case - Oh Jae Pyo - realizes that the now-comatose daughter in the only surviving witness. 193 days later (or six months), Eun Seol comes out of her coma, but with no memories of her life before waking up. Also, when she woke up, her left eye's iris turned blue with no scientific explanation, but it gave her the ability to "see" scents as visible colours and shapes. To protect her, the detective of the case adopts her and invents a new life for her, making her believe that he is her real father and her name is Oh Cho Rim. He also gives her a lens to cover up her blue eye so she wouldn't be discriminated against for having heterochromia. After another six months, Cho Rim is a cheerful woman who has adjusted to her unique ability. She even dreams of becoming a comedienne, and works for a small theater group called the Frog Troupe.

So, as you can see, Oh Cho Rim and Moo Gak's sister are completely different people. It's just pure coincidence that their names ended up being the exact same at the beginning. Plus, "Choi" is a popular Korean surname, so that makes chances of being the same name quite close. I think this coincidence was set up so that Moo Gak will probably feel angst later on when both he and Cho Rim find out about her past.
